전력 생산을 위해 아디제 강이 발원하는 파소 디 레시아(Passo di Resia) 근처에 댐이 건설되었을 때, 쿠론(Curon) 마을과 레시아(Resia) 일부, 고대 마을인 아르룽(Arlung), 피츠(Piz), 고르프(Gorf), 스토커호페(Stockerhöfe)가 1950년 여름에 물에 잠겼습니다.
총 677헥타르의 토지가 물에 잠겼습니다.
주민과 농장주들은 강제로 수용되어 다른 곳에 정착할 수밖에 없었습니다.
14세기에 건설된 구 쿠론(Old Curon) 교회만이 부분적으로 살아남았습니다.
역사적 기념물인 종탑은 오늘날에도 여전히 볼 수 있습니다.

When a dam was built near Passo di Resia, where the Adige River originates, for electricity generation, the village of Curon and parts of Resia, as well as the ancient villages of Arlung, Piz, Gorf and Stockerhöfe, were submerged in the summer of 1950. A total of 677 hectares of land were submerged - the residents and farm owners were forcibly expropriated and forced to settle elsewhere. Only the 14th-century Old Curon church survived in parts. Its bell tower, a historical monument, can still be seen today
